VXI required a high-impact digital campaign for International Women’s Day (IWD) to globally promote the company as a champion for women's empowerment and opportunity. The main asset was a dynamic, animated video designed to circulate across social media and internal channels, driving job applications using the global theme, #EachForEqual.
Context
To meet growing global hiring demands, VXI needed to solidify its reputation as a preferred employer for women worldwide. The challenge was cutting through the noise of IWD with a message that felt authentic and measurable, showcasing VXI’s commitment to gender equality with hard data and compelling visuals, rather than just corporate slogans.

Motion Graphics Designer

Animation Production, Storyboard Development, Custom Illustration Editing, Digital Campaign Asset Creation
Overview
The central idea was to build a visually engaging, story-driven motion graphic that combined the celebratory spirit of IWD with concrete employment facts. The execution required splitting the project into two distinct phases: first, securing brand manager approval for a clear, statistics-driven narrative flow, and second, translating that approved narrative into snappy, high-energy animation suitable for wide-ranging digital platforms.
Challenge
The biggest creative challenge was modifying existing stock graphics (featuring different ethnicities and roles) and customizing them to appear as a unified VXI workforce, all while maintaining a fast-paced animation flow (The final video runs just over a minute). This required meticulous visual editing and animation work to ensure the sequence of statistics and illustrations built a cohesive and empowering story.
Solution
I resourcefully sourced and then heavily modified a library of diverse female illustrations to represent VXI’s global reach and variety of roles (as seen in the storyboard slides ). The animation was designed to rapidly cycle through key statistics—such as the percentage of women in VXI’s workforce and leadership—before concluding with the central theme: “VXI is an advocate of women empowerment”. The final animation successfully delivered a compelling message of inclusion and opportunity.
Results
Launched across all global channels in February 2020, the International Women’s Day campaign video effectively met its goal of raising brand awareness. The high-engagement nature of the motion graphic led to a quantifiable increase in female job applicant traffic to the VXI careers page during the campaign period. It also solidified the company’s internal and external commitment to the #EachForEqual movement, serving as a powerful communication asset for diversity and recruitment initiatives.
